Meet the Maker
Uberaba to Limoges, since 1989
Tania Bulhões opened a small shop in Uberaba, in the interior of Minas Gerais, in 1989. It sold plates, paintings, whatever came in. Somewhere in there she worked out that the plates were the point. São Paulo followed in 1991.
Home scents arrived in 2006, developed in Grasse. The porcelain had been coming out of Limoges for years when the house did the obvious thing and bought the factory. In 2023 it acquired Royal Limoges, the oldest porcelain manufacturer still working in the city. Most brands describe their supplier. This one owns it.
The leaf on the box is not decoration. Tania grew up between the city and the countryside in Minas Gerais, and the work keeps pointing back there, by way of French kilns and a perfumer's bench in the south of France.

Gold does not go in the microwave
Gold banding and hand painting mean no microwave, ever, and no dishwasher if you want the gold to stay gold. Warm water, mild soap, dry it properly, put it back in rotation. The body itself was fired past anything your kitchen can do to it. The decoration is the delicate part, and even that survives ordinary Tuesdays.
