Meet the Maker

Clio and Clover was founded in London by Zoe Tsiligiannis, formerly Head of Marketing at Matchesfashion, out of a love of colour, craftsmanship and entertaining. The result is table linen with a British sensibility and a well-travelled eye, made with skilled artisans and trusted makers, and set on tables from hotels and weddings to dinner at home.

Their First Bloom collection borrows from Mughal florals and geometric borders, hand screen-printed in Sanganer, Jaipur, so no two pieces are quite alike. Alongside it sit the quieter pieces: placemats and napkins framed by two fine embroidered stripes, and linen sets with a softly scalloped edge. The palette stays tight, emerald and ruby, so everything mixes. Lay a printed cloth with striped napkins, or scallops with plain white plates, and the table looks considered without anyone trying too hard.

“Tables that are considered, colourful and most importantly, joyful.”

Care & Ritual

Not too precious

Machine wash up to 40°C. Linen softens with every wash, so the more these come out, the better they get. The hand-printed First Bloom pieces show small variations in print and colour; that’s the handwork, not a flaw.
