Tania Bulhões’ Tea Cup and Saucer Paraty draws on the landscapes and colonial character of Paraty, translated into serene blue and green brushstrokes with delicate floral details. Made from fine porcelain, the set has gently irregular, wave-inspired contours that keep it feeling relaxed rather than formal. It is lovely enough for a slow weekend tea, yet practical for daily rituals, since both pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe.

Care
Gold banding and hand painting mean no microwave, ever, and no dishwasher if you want the gold to stay gold. Warm water, mild soap, dry it properly, put it back in rotation. The body itself was fired past anything your kitchen can do to it. The decoration is the delicate part, and even that survives ordinary Tuesdays.

“Inspired by nature and the world"
Tania Bulhões opened a small shop in Uberaba, in the interior of Minas Gerais, in 1989. It sold plates, paintings, whatever came in. Somewhere in there she worked out that the plates were the point. São Paulo followed in 1991.
