Description
This is for the person who treats dessert like it deserves its own pause in the conversation.
The Dessert Plate Tropicos (set of 2) by Tania Bulhões brings hand-painted tropical foliage to a soft porcelain base, where greens and blues sit slightly irregular in the best way, like brushstrokes still alive on the surface. Nothing feels overly polished here, which is exactly the point.
Perfect for a slice of cake after dinner, ripe fruit at midday, or anything you would normally serve too quickly. These are the plates you reach for when you want even the smallest moment at the table to feel considered.
Care
Gold banding and hand painting mean no microwave, ever, and no dishwasher if you want the gold to stay gold. Warm water, mild soap, dry it properly, put it back in rotation. The body itself was fired past anything your kitchen can do to it. The decoration is the delicate part, and even that survives ordinary Tuesdays.

“Inspired by nature and the world"
Tania Bulhões opened a small shop in Uberaba, in the interior of Minas Gerais, in 1989. It sold plates, paintings, whatever came in. Somewhere in there she worked out that the plates were the point. São Paulo followed in 1991.
